Rat Range
Introduction
Following advancements with knockout rats in 2003 and an increasing number of available inbred rat models, the rat has re-emerged as an excellent platform on which to build the genetic and genomic resources and tools to delineate the connections between genes and biology.
Rats have routinely been used as models in conditions ranging from cardiovascular diseases through to autoimmune diseases. However in some cases specific aspects of human disease are only summarized in rat making these animals an excellent resource for studying and identifying genetic pathways relevant to human disease (e.g. hypertension).
For your research AbD Serotec offers an extensive rat range of reagents. The range includes a wide choice of clones, formats and conjugates – including Alexa Fluor ® 405, 488, 647 and 700 fluorochromes, plus our new tandem conjugates and dual-color reagents.

Dual-color reagents for flow cytometry

ED clone range for studying macrophages
AbD Serotec is the primary source of the ED clones, which are a comprehensive range of reagents for the study of rat macrophages. These antibodies have a wide range of applications and can be used in immunohistochemistry. Of particular note is MCA341 anti-CD68 (ED1), which is the most reliable rat macrophage marker.
